Biography

Dr. Fockele is an emergency physician and population health research fellow at Harborview Medical Center. She studies the social determinants of health, with a focus on addiction and homelessness. She is interested in improving transitions of care for ED-initiated buprenorphine patients, screening ED patients for social determinants of health, and providing evidence-based care to patients suffering from substance use. She receives funding from the National Institute on Drug Abuse.
