  • Undergraduate: Stanford University
  • Medical School: Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania
  • Hobbies: Running, cycling, backpacking and camping, playing ultimate Frisbee, reading novels, listening to music, practicing yoga, meditating, attempting to cook, learning how to climb
  • Favorite Seattle Hangout:  Golden Gardens, Discovery Park, Harry's Fine Foods patio for cocktails and the best french fries ever
  • Best book I've ever read:  This is too hard! Most recent excellent reads include Sing Unburied Sing by Jesmyn Ward and When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi
  • Coolest place I've traveled: To the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania
  • If I weren't a doctor I would be: A veterinarian, a sommelier, or a trainer for the NFL
  • Things I did in a previous life: Rode my bicycle across the United States, bartended at a dive bar in North Beach in San Francisco
  • Favorite thing to do on my day off: Sleep in for a few hours, drink coffee on the couch with my dog, and then spend the rest of the day outside hiking, running, climbing!  End the day with home cooked meal on the grill and a good glass of Pinot Noir.
  • Why UW? I love the diversity of patients I get to see in the UW system, and I feel lucky to get to work such passionate and engaged faculty, staff, and co-residents! Plus, the east coast is great, but I was ready for some mountains and the Pacific Northwest has no shortage of mountain adventure opportunities!
