EM Grand Rounds: "Equity Based Healthcare: Courage, Intention, and Transformation" - Dr. Thea James
Dr. James has been a visionary thought leader in emergency medicine for decades, and currently serves as Vice President of Mission and Associate Chief Medical Officer at Boston Medical Center. She is a founding member of the National Network of Hospital-Based Violence Intervention Advocacy Programs (NNHVIP), and was appointed to Attorney General Eric Holder’s National Task Force on Children Exposed to Violence in 2011.
She is the recipient of numerous awards, and has served as a mentor to innumerable trainees interested in advocacy and population health. Dr. James’ current role as Vice President of Mission is wide-reaching, as described in two online profiles here and here.
