Drs. Adedipe and Nichol Awarded Patent in Partnership with Applied Physics Lab

Drs. Graham NicholAdeyinka Adedipe, and Pierre Mourad from the UW Applied Physics Lab were recently awarded a patent for their unique ultrasound device. The device, a Noninvasive Cardiac Arrest Monitor (NICAM), is a novel medical device which includes a miniaturized ultrasound sensor designed to quickly and accurately identify pulsatile blood flow and provide real-time feedback to improve the quality of chest compressions. Congratulations to all who worked so hard on this project.
