Biography
Dr. Hendershot is an emergency medicine physician at University of Washington Medical Center Northwest and a neurocritical care fellow at Harborview Medical Center. His clinical focus is caring for critically ill patients, especially those presenting with neurological emergencies. His program of research focuses on improving access to palliative care for patients with traumatic brain injury, and developing interventions using qualitative methodology to enhance the delivery of end-of-life care for patients and their caregivers. During residency, he was awarded the Emergency Medicine Resident Association/American College of Emergency Physicians Emergency Medicine Basic Research Skills Scholarship. Currently, he receives funding from the Adler Endowed Fund for Traumatic Brain Injury Research.
