biography
Dr. Jessica Wall grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from Oregon State University with a BS in Biology and then from the Oregon Institute of Technology with an Associates in Emergency Medical Services. Her first career was as a paramedic in Oregon and Washington, which led to Medical School at The Ohio State University. She completed residency at UCLA-Olive View in Emergency Medicine and a Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Additionally, she holds Master's Degrees in Public Health from The Ohio State University and in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. She has diverse research interests in pediatric community emergency care, pediatric sepsis, emergency medicine resident education, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and emergency medical services/critical care transport.
Because Dr. Wall is trained in both emergency medicine and pediatric emergency medicine, she cares for patients in the Emergency Departments at Harborview Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital, and she serves at the Associate Pediatric Medical Director for Airlift Northwest. Through her work with the Department of Emergency Medicine Pediatric Care and Readiness Council, the Seattle Children’s Transport Team and Airlift Northwest she strives to improve the care of pediatric patients in community emergency departments and during transport.
