biography

Dr. Beck is an emergency physician and Associate Director of the Emergency Medicine Clerkship for the UW School of Medicine. He also co-directs procedural education for the EM residency and is an adjunct faculty member in the UW Division of Healthcare Simulation Science (HCSS.) He treats patients in the Emergency Department at Harborview Medical Center and the University of Washington Montlake.

Dr. Beck’s extra-clinical activities include teaching monthly procedure labs at the WWAMI Institute for Simulation in Healthcare (WISH) as well as regular ATLS and ACLS courses. He holds seats on the Washington-ACEP Board of Directors and Education Committee, through which he curates and teaches statewide procedure labs for community EM physicians. Dr. Beck also serves as a sideline medical official and Unaffiliated Neurotrauma Consultant for the National Football League (NFL.)
