Dr. Vasisht Srinivasan Receives NCS Presidential Citation Award
We are proud to announce that the Department of Emergency Medicine's Dr. Vasisht Srinivasan has received the Presidential Citation Award from the Neurocritical Care Society.
The award recognizes NCS members who have made extraordinary contributions of time, energy, and resources to the Society during the previous year.
Dr. Srinivasan said he was a little surprised to receive the award.
"I'm honored that my contributions to the Society and field were deemed worthy or recognition. I'm thankful for the amazing colleagues and collaborators I had the opportunity to work with on these projects," said Srinivasan.
Those who work alongside Srinivasan describe him as an amazing ambassador for the growing emergency medicine subspecialty of neurocritical care.
"We're lucky to have him in the Section of Critical Care within the UW Department of Emergency Medicine," said Dr. Nick Johnson, Section Head of Critical Care. "He leads the way in education, research, and quality improvement efforts related to neurologic emergencies, and, as evidenced by this award, has a growing national reputation as an expert on transport and regional care for patients with severe acute brain injury. This major national recognition of his efforts is no surprise, but well-deserved."
Congratulations, Dr. Srinivasan!
