Dr. Gressman recognized with Housestaff Award

The Department of Emergency Medicine is proud to announce that Dr. Kira Gressman was selected as this year’s recipient of the Harborview Medical Center Housestaff Achievement Award. The award, selected through faculty nominations, recognizes a housestaff member who demonstrates exceptional clinical ability, humanitarian concern, and dedication to Harborview’s mission population.

Throughout her residency, Gressman advanced innovative approaches to caring for people with opioid use disorder. She helped lead a groundbreaking partnership with the Seattle Fire Department to deliver buprenorphine in the field, expanding access to lifesaving treatment for patients experiencing overdose.

Her work reflects a commitment to improving access to care for some of the region’s most vulnerable patients while advancing innovative approaches to emergency medicine.
