Drs. Nick Johnson, Jon Ilgen, and Ivan Zvonar have been recognized for their contributions as reviewers to two medical journals.  Dr. Nick Johnson was named a Distinguished Senior Reviewer by the Annals of Emergency Medicine.

Dr. Johnson was recognized due to his above and beyond contributions to the journal for multiple years. Senior Reviewers are those who appear twice or more on the annual Top Reviewer list. Reviewers are picked based on a formula that ranks them on their total performance in timeliness, review quality, and volume of reviews performed.

Two hundred and fifty reviewers appeared on the Senior Reviewers list in the past 19 years, and 29 of those reviewers met Senior Reviewer criteria for six or more years of the past ten. Dr. Johnson is being recognized for his seven years of contributions to the journal.

Drs. Jon Ilgen and Ivan Zvonar have been named a WestJEM Special Issue 2023 Gold Standard Reviewer by the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine.

The journal picks reviewers who stand out for their detailed reviews, grasp of tenets of education scholarship, and effort to provide feedback that mentors authors on how to improve.

Congratulations, Drs. Johnson, Ilgen, and Zvonar!
