Dr. Jeremy Hess, in collaboration with the Swinomish Tribe, has received a grant:“ Indigenous values-based decision-making for more equitable health outcomes in climate adaptation strategies”. This project, led by the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community (SITC), will evaluate the efficacy of an “Indigenized” Building Resilience Against Climate Effects (BRACE) framework, which aimed to create more equitable health outcomes based on a model of Indigenous values-based data collection, analysis, and decision-making. The University of Washington, under the direction of Dr. Jeremy Hess, will participate in several evaluation activities associated with this community-engaged project.
