Overview
The Department of Emergency Medicine has a commitment to improving the future of emergency care through research and dissemination. Our emergency medicine faculty have wide-ranging research interests and expertise and welcome and encourage student participation in these efforts. Opportunities range from the bench-top and translational laboratory to clinical bedside research, to health services and operational. To facilitate student engagement, we provide the following streamlined process.
If you would like to explore research opportunities, please complete the steps outlined below:
- Review our research webpage and identify areas of interest
- Review corresponding faculty bios including understanding respective research portfolios
- Respond to the Interest Survey.
- Email Alexis Rush (rusha@uw.edu), Manager of Education and Training Programs, a copy of your CV and cover letter to include: your interest in EM research, any previous experience, and projected availability/commitment
