MATCH DAY 2024:

2-Year Alaska/GH Fellowship 

  • Match Opens: August 14th, 2024 12:00 p.m. ET
  • Ranking Opens: September 11th, 2024 12:00 p.m. ET. Fellowship applications will be reviewed June 1st through September 15th.
  • Rank Order List Certification Deadline: October 16th, 2024 9:00 p.m. ET 
  • Match Day for 2024 is Oct. 30th at 12:00 p.m. ET

There are two fellowship positions available each cycle for the 2 Year Alaska/GH Fellowship. Interviews will be conducted via zoom on the below three dates, from 10:00 AM to -1:00 PM (PDT). Our fellowship coordinator will work with you to determine which day may work best for you. Plan to be available the entire 3 hours. The call will start with an introduction for all applicants, followed with breakout rooms for back-to-back private interviews with leadership.

  • Thursday, September 19th
  • Friday, September 20th
  • Thursday, September 26th  

* September 27th & 30th will be held for any make-up interviews. Please make your best effort to clear your schedule for the above dates.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • All applicants must register and apply through NRMP Match, Global Emergency Medicine Fellowship Consortium. Once registered, please notify uwglobalem@gmail.com of your GEMRC registration and interest in the fellowship.
  • All applicants must have completed US residency training in Emergency Medicine and be US Citizens/green card holders to apply (we can't sponsor visas).
  • All applicants must be board-eligible in EM.

  1. Letter of Intent (1 page)
  2. CV
  3. Personal Statement (1 page)
  4. Three letters of recommendation including one from the current chair or residency director, and one from a mentor in global health (if applicable)
  5. USMLE transcript

Candidates must apply separately to their MPH program, and their chosen tropical medicine education program (e.g. GORGAS or London School). The fellowship director will work with the fellow immediately after selection to help guide these applications.
