Dr. Klemisch Named Assistant Program Director for Critical Care Medicine Fellowship
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Robert Klemisch has been named as Assistant Program Director for the Critical Care Medicine Fellowship in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Klemisch will focus on procedural education and professional development, as well as a numerous other fellowship activities including recruitment.
Dr. Nick Johnson will remain in the role of Associate Program Director with a focus on mentorship, research, and career development for EM-Critical Care fellows across three fellowship programs (critical care medicine, anesthesiology-critical care, and neurocritical care).
This is a reflection and recognition of Dr. Klemisch's outstanding contributions toward this program. Also of note, this is a record year with five EM residency graduates entering the UW Critical Care fellowship training programs including the following:
Critical Care Medicine:
- Mitchell Hymowitz (EM Residency: LSU-Baton Rouge)
- Matthew Stampfl (EM Residency and Med Flight/HEMS fellowship: University of Wisconsin)
Anesthesiology-Critical Care:
- J. Daniel Ballew: (EM Residency: University of Rochester, Global/Rural Health Fellowship: UW)
Neurocritical Care:
- Kristopher Hendershot (EM Residency: Jackson Memorial/Miami)
