How We Can Help
- Our hotline provides rapid, low-barrier access to buprenorphine for individuals ready to start treatment or who are experiencing a gap in their current care.
- Our hotline takes calls from 9:00 AM-9:00 PM, 7 days a week. After hours, calls are routed to the Washington Recovery Helpline.
- Our staff will complete a brief phone screening with your patient. One of our providers will call them back to complete a telehealth visit via audio or video call. Most patients will receive a call back from our provider within the hour and can pick up their medication on the same day of their call. This can vary by pharmacy hours and provider availability.
- If a patient receives a prescription for buprenorphine through our hotline, the provider is also able to provide select ancillary medications to help manage withdrawal symptoms and ensure as much comfort as possible.
- After their visit, our dedicated Linkage to Care Coordinators follow up with your patient within 72 hours to provide holistic referrals and resources for ongoing care. Our referrals are based on your patient’s location, insurance coverage, MOUD preferences, and unique life circumstances. If we don’t get in touch the first time, we will follow up multiple times to help ensure linkage to ongoing care.
Who We Can Help
- We are pleased to serve all residents of Washington state who have OUD (opioid use disorder) and are 13 years of age or older. No insurance is required for our visit.
- Our program is intended to be a low barrier, rapid path to buprenorphine induction. We also gladly serve patients who are already prescribed buprenorphine from an ongoing provider or clinic but have run out due to missed or rescheduled appointments.
- We are not legally able to prescribe to individuals who are currently incarcerated or are in inpatient facilities (e.g. psychiatric or medical hospitals) with their own providers on staff.
- The choice to prescribe a medication is always a clinical decision that is up to the discretion of our providers. A call to the hotline does not guarantee a prescription, and a telehealth visit with a provider is required. Patients are assessed on an individual basis to determine clinical appropriateness for our program and treatment with buprenorphine.
