How we can help you:
- Our hotline provides rapid, low-barrier access to buprenorphine for Washington residents who are ready to start treatment or are experiencing a gap in their current care. You must be 13 years of age or older and meet the criteria for opioid use disorder (OUD).
- We are here to help from 9:00 AM-9:00 PM, 7 days a week. After hours, calls are routed to the Washington Recovery Helpline.
What you can expect when you call us:
- While our service is designed to be accessible and low-barrier, there are still a few simple steps involved:

- When you call our hotline, you will speak to a coordinator who will conduct a brief intake. We will ask you for basic information such as your name and birthday. We may also ask you a bit about your opioid use history and your current circumstances so that we can best meet your needs.
- If appropriate, we will forward your information to one of our providers, who will call you back for a phone or video visit. You will usually receive a call back in under an hour.
- Your telehealth visit with your provider will be like a typical doctor’s visit. You will be asked more questions about your health history and history of opioid use. A visit with the doctor is required for them to be able to send a prescription.
- If clinically appropriate, the doctor will electronically send your prescription to your pharmacy of choice.
- If you receive a prescription for buprenorphine, the doctor is also able to offer a few other medications to help ease symptoms of withdrawal. Please feel free to let the doctor know if you have specific withdrawal symptoms.
- You can expect supportive, respectful, and confidential care when you contact our hotline. We are here to help, no matter where you are in your recovery.
What you can expect after your telehealth visit:
- Directly after your visit, our dedicated Linkage to Care Coordinators will send you a text message that contains post-visit information and a few options for ongoing care.
- Within 72 hours after your visit, a coordinator will call to provide holistic referrals and resources for your ongoing care. Our referrals are based on your location, insurance coverage, treatment preferences, and unique life circumstances. If we don’t get in touch the first time, we will follow up multiple times to check in and make sure you are connected to care.
