The Annual University of Washington Department of Emergency Medicine Research Showcase is an opportunity to highlight outstanding scholarly work and groundbreaking research from faculty, residents, and students.

Through this annual showcase, presenters can seek valuable feedback from their colleagues while those in attendance learn about the various scholarly activities and interests of our amazing team.

Research topics often include point-of-care ultrasound, out-of-hospital cardiac arrest, trauma resuscitation, global health, toxicology, substance use disorder, and medical education.

2026 Research Showcase

Join us for the DEM Research Showcase will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the R&T Building, highlighting research and scholarly work across the department.

This year’s keynote speaker is Wesley H. Self, MD, MPH, who will present, “Driving Science within a Learning Healthcare System,” bringing national expertise in emergency care research and clinical trials.
